American Heart
Association (AHA)
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support for Experienced
Providers (ACLS-EP) Course
(A
new way to renew your ACLS status) |
| |
| Course
Background |
| Starting from Oct 2006, the Hong Kong College of Emergency
Medicine will co-joint with the American Heart Association
ITO – Hong Kong & Macao to launch the AHA ACLS-EP
courses in Hong Kong. |
| |
It is a one day course and the goal of ACLS-EP course
is to develop healthcare professional’s ability
to
- Provide an alternative for ACLS providers who wish
to renew their provider status (the current recommendation
for renewal is every 2 years). The ACLS-EP Course
is an expanded course designed to refresh, update
and challenge “experienced providers”
rather than to repeat information in the ACLS Provider
Course.
- Provide a stimulus for expert clinicians and scientists
to identify the many areas in resuscitation that require
a different approach from that of the basic ACLS Provider
Course.
- Teach experienced ACLS providers new ways to assess
and manage critical cardiovascular emergencies not
currently addressed in ACLS
|

All accredited AHA instructors are practicing medical
