Background & Details |
Starting from 2007, the Hong Kong College of Emergency Medicine and the American Heart Association have conjoint AHA ACLS Refresher courses in Hong Kong.
The refresher course provides a chance to update the ACLS skills. |

Test |
Practical skills and written examination are required. (The MCQ examination passing rate is 84%). |

Successful candidate will be given the AHA ACLS completion card.

| Reading
Material |
The course material including the AHA ACLS Provider Manual in 2010 guidelines will be ready for collection after successful application.
Early application and collection of course materials is much encouraged.
Course Fee will not include the AHA 2010 ECC Handbook from August 2011 onwards. (If any candidate is interested in buying one, the retail price is HK$250) |

Candidate |
| Personnel who are working in emergency, intensive care,
critical care or acute departments/wards; emergency medical
providers such as medical officers, nurses, emergency
technicians, paramedics and other professionals who need
to respond to a cardiovascular emergency. |

Pre-requisites |
Candidates must possess current AHA BLS certification (or equivalent) and AHA ACLS Provider certification. Please send photocopy of valid certificates together with ACLS-R Application form. Candidates without current certification are encouraged to join BLS Provider and ACLS Provider Course. |
