Background |
| The AHA Airway Management Course aims to develop proficiency in using airway devices on adult within the hospital and pre-hospital setting. The course material is consistent with the content of the Advanced Cardiovascular Support Provider Course (ACLS) with emphasized on using Bag-valve-mask (BVM) and endotracheal intubation. Techniques on using Laryngeal Mask Airway (LMA), Combitube and Impedance Threshold Device will be taught. The course can enhance the knowledge on airway management before attending the ACLS course. |

| Course Pre-requisites |
| Personnel who are working in emergency, intensive care, critical care or acute departments/wards; emergency medical providers such as medical officers, nurses, emergency technicians, paramedics and other professionals who need to develop skill in using airway device for management of patient. |

| |
| Candidates are strongly recommended to read the AHA Airway Management Student Guide before attending the course. Early registration and collection of course materials is much encouraged. |

| Course Completion |
| In order to complete the course, the candidates should: |
| - Demonstrate proficient skills in using the airway device in all skills station |
| - Pass in the written test after the course (Pass mark: 84%) |
| |
| AHA Airway Management Course Completion Certificate will be issued to candidates who have successfully completed the course |
