|

- For MCEM/IEEM (double diploma) applicants, they must have completed at least 24 months of accredited post registration training (following 12 months of internship); and including at least 12 months of accredited training in Emergency Medicine by the time of examination
|
| Remarks |
- Candidates who are re-sitting the exam must take the re-sit exam in the same geographical location as the original examination. For Asia, this means that candidates may sit in either Singapore or Hong Kong.

- Please note that the MRCS Parts 1&2, and MRCP Part 1 are NOT accepted in this diet of MCEM/IEEM
- For applicants who held the MRCS Parts 1&2 and/or MRCP Part 1 prior to December 2010, and are re-sit candidates for the MCEM/IEEM, these qualifications are acceptable after 2010. However this does NOT apply for those applicants who enroll for the first time after 2010. Such candidates are advised to attempt the PEEM
- There is no scheduled stand alone or independent IEEM in 2012
- If candidates from Hong Kong wish to apply for the IEEM qualification in addition to the MCEM then they should complete both the sets of forms – those required for the MCEM and those required for the IEEM. The qualifications required for this diet of the MCEM and IEEM are those required for the MCEM. However, the experience is different for MCEM and IEEM. Although there is only one examination, candidates applying for both qualifications should ensure that they complete both sets of forms, and meet the experience levels required for IEEM.
